A Heart For Haiti

Earlier this week Cayman 27 brought you the story of life changing surgeries for Haitian children, by Have a Heart Cayman and Health City. Haiti is one of the poorest countries in the western hemisphere and it’s health system can’t handle the huge volume of new pediatric heart cases each year.

An organization called the Haiti Cardiac Alliance says hundreds of children die without treatment. Needless to say the surgeries being performed here in Cayman are invaluable to the families affected. Last Saturday, four patients who received heart surgery here in Cayman flew back to Haiti.
